Foxton Locks

Mum and Dad came to visit for the weekend so we did some sightseeing.

A short drive away is Foxton Locks which is the longest run of staircase locks on the Grand Union Canal. There are 10 locks in the run and we saw plenty of boats using them.

We spent a while chatting to people about how they worked and saw a lady get into a bit of a panic when she did it wrong and flooded a lock and the surrounding grass (a family having a picnic had to scarper a bit quick!)

We found a lovely pub for lunch. We were lucky to choose Friday as we were told that the pub gets so busy at the weekend that you can't get a drink let alone anything to eat!
